It All Started with an Incident

I was so early this morning to go to school, when I passed by in front of the old vacuous building, where a rumor is spreading saying that a vengeful wraith was inside. I got curious of what’s inside so I entered, when I accidentally stepped on the camera in front of me. I think I broke the haft of the camera. CRAP!!!
“Ouch! My leg hurts.” I said while trying to stand. Then I notice a tall man beside me with small bruises all over his body, why do he have bruises? Whoa, maybe he helped me. Just to think of it, it’s only my leg that hurts. I was going to help the man stand but the ephebe man, who interrupted our ghost stories on our secret tryst last day, helped the tall man to stand.
“Lin, let’s go.” He said while helping the tall man. So now I know that tall man’s name, I could thank him tomorrow. Before I could walk away and start an affray with the man who interrupted our ghost stories, I tried to temper myself and walk away. I just heard the man saying “Let’s talk about this on that bench later,” while getting away. His eyes were so cold just enow to kill with his icy glares. I was very nervous on what he’s going to say to me later, maybe he will scold me. I just lessen my stress by eating my favorite parfait.

-On the Bench-
I waited the man on our rendezvous that he said awhile ago.

At last the man came.

“What’s your name?” he asked.

“I’m Taniyama Mai of class 3-B. How about yours?” I replied, trying to establish a rapport with him.

“Shibuya Kazuya, the owner of SPR (Shibuya Psychic Research).” He said. I was amazed that he’s the owner and he’s still young to be a professional sleuth. I can’t speak immediately nor vociferate. I was just stunned on what he said.  “Because of the incident that happened this morning, and you broke the haft of my camera. You’re going to pay it.” He said.

Hmmph.  “What a garrulous man.” I thought. “How……………….” Before I could finish talking, he spoke.

“You will work to me as my secretary and my assignee in making tea. Understood? Unless you wanted to find a job yourself.” He said. “Hai! I will do my best.” I said with confidence and a little bit regret.

-After 2 years-
It’s been two years already when I worked on SPR (Shibuya Psychic Research). I still work as an assistant and always the one who prepare the tea for everyone and let them to eat my favorite canapĂ©. Two years that was full of intimidation and sorrow whenever we solve paranormal cases.
Every time I saw clients going to SPR and telling their case to us. I could see them crying in pain and fear. I always hushed their back when they’re crying while their hands were shaking. I don’t let myself to cry also when they’re crying. I calmed them by saying that we will try our best to get rid of the ghost/s or demon/s in their house. They always trust SPR that their case will be solved.
In just two years, I discovered that I have ESP abilities like clairvoyance and astral projection. Without telling it to my co-workers I was able to help our clients secretly. I may be a danger magnet, but I was still lucky that I always managed to survive from any danger that comes to me. They’re so worried that I won’t come home alive instead they will saw my body soaked in my own blood because of the ghost/s that wanted me to be dead in front of them or serve me to a demon.
I just can’t stand seeing people who were hurt by ghost/s who kills just to get revenge.

-The End-

Language: English or Native

The Philippines is known in being the third world’s country’s English speaking. Being good in English language or native language is both useful to every one of us. To every Filipino like me, when it comes to language the importance is that every person is able to communicate and express each other's feelings. But what if you’re given the chance to choose between fluency in English language or mastery in your own native language, what will you choose?

In the Philippines, it’s not anymore normal to see Filipinos who doesn't know to speak in English. The English language in the Philippines serves as one of the medium and even uses it in making instructional materials. It’s been a great help also in their communicating skills. One doesn't find hard time in speaking English. But being fluent in English language doesn't indicate that we’re ignoring our own native language. It’s just we’re learning something new for our benefits and future also. While learning and being fluent in English language, one should not put aside their own native language. In the Philippines, our own native language is Tagalog. It’s the language that we are born with. It’s also widely used in the Philippines as the medium. But to some Filipinos, when they learned the English language, they seemed to forget their own native language. We should not forget our own language, we maybe fluent in English language but are we even fluent in our very own language.

Intramural: One of Student’s Choices

As we all know, intramurals is always one of student’s choices. It’s the time that they show their skills and their potentials in sports not just in academics. It’s like every student has the chance to be in the spotlight. But the question is that, how important sports are?

A sport is one way of developing oneself to be physically, mentally, socially and spiritually prepared. In sports, every member or every player in a game needs to be cooperative and has sportsmanship. It’s very important in intramurals to be humble and knows being the loser in the game. Accepting to oneself that you’re the winner or the loser is just like the important lesson in a sport.

Intramurals, an event that can’t be gone in a student’s choice, is so fun. There are times that a person or a group is winning or not. It’s just we need to give importance to the lesson/s that we may get after or before an intramurals.

NCAE: an Assessment to Every Student

NCAE also known as National Career Assessment Examination was taken by every third year student in every school. The NCAE was developed to improve the quality of secondary education graduates entering college. This examination will assess what course would be fit to every student who took the exam. When I first heard the NCAE, I thought first that the questions that will be on the examination would be very hard. But when I took the examination, the heavy load in my head got gone. That’s why I took the examination lightly, but it’s also needed to answer the questions seriously because it’s a way to assess myself if what course would be fit to me when I enter college. It’s also a way to test my abilities. I will see to it in what subject or field I would excel. This kind of examinations would help us to determine and see in what field we are going to take up on college. Going to college is fun also but when the course you’re taking is not your interest, it’s just like the efforts would be wasted into nothing because it’s not what you wanted. That’s why NCAE is there for us to determine in what field or course we are going to be.

A Small Mistake Have Become a Big Problem

Comedy of Errors by William Shakespeare was truly a great and funny story. It’s about the story of two sets of identical twins that were accidentally separated at birth. Comedy of Errors is a story that everyone would be gladly to read. Even though several errors were made, these errors even turned to a comedy, an error that will be the start of everything and even start a big chaos to everyone. That’s why when the story Comedy of Errors was assigned to our group, the first thing that came up to my mind was it’s going to be hard. Well for me it truly was. You would be confused if “who is who”, because there’s an instance that the other pair of twin would not meet up his true master, that’s why it’s so fun to read and watch it. Even in real life we make errors, but sometimes it’s not like the story of Comedy of Errors that will become so funny and comedy. The errors that we made were errors that would teach every one of us not to give up and go on in life. Errors that would also teach us some lessons that we could use in our everyday life.

“To be or not to be”

To be or not to be
In which path are we?
To the path of good or bad
Or not just take action and be glad

To be or not to be

It’s our own decision to take
But we should be serious in what we would make
It’s our own self that would be there
Be sure to take the consequences and bear

To be or not to be

There’s nothing more to bear out
Now, what it is all about?
Even though it’s already complete
We don’t know how to retreat

"My Teacher, My Hero"
A person who never give up. A person who is always there for us, that we could approach and talk to every time. That's our teacher. Every teacher in the whole deserves to be praised    and loved. Every teacher put dedicate their own self to teach children. I admire those teachers who were assigned to very far areas, that technology can't even reach. They endure teaching even with incomplete school materials. They don't stop from teaching and hoping that their students could even reach high school.

In my elementary times, there was this teacher who got angry and lectured us. On that time, I became scared of her. I always got nervous even though I’m just going to approach her. But I realized to myself that she just like us to keep quiet. Since that time, she became my favorite teacher. I'd like to thank her for being my advisory teacher in grade 1. Her name is Ms. Gay Mojica. But we're used to call her teacher Yeye. She's a very nice person. I also thanked her for teaching us. Thank You Ma'am!
